Objet : Re: Mike Johnson info on your site

Hello Rocky,

Wow, that was quick! Thank you. However, I noticed you posted Mike's site twice. Could you remove this [http://blackyodelno1.webs.com/] and replace it with http://roughshodrecords.webs.com the label's official site?
Sure, which songs did you have in mind? I noticed you linked our "The Day Hank Williams Died" youtube video, which is also on our 50th CD and can be heard in our Music Listening Room on the Roughshod Records site. As you know, Hank died on New Year at the age of 29.
Perhaps your viewers might enjoy Mike Johnson's Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame Induction.

This is one of the 16 Mike Johnson Live! DVD Series that was created especially for the Library of Congress Mike Johnson collection. It was included in their Motion Picture & Television Broadcasting and Recorded Sound Division's Moving Images Collection in December 2011. Detailed information is in the youtube "Show More" section.

Again, can't thank you enough for that impressive display.

Objet : Mike Johnson info on your site

Hello Rocky,

Today I stumbled across that very impressive looking discography page you created for Mike Johnson. Thanks a lot from me and Mike!
It shows that you got some of your information from All-Music Guide. We're not too impressed with them. About a year or two ago I sent them about 20 of Mike's releases along with the detailed specs on each one of them and a copy of the 42-page biography [from which you used] that the Recorded Sound Reference Center has in their Music Reading collection at the Library of Congress. Low and behold they couldn't seem to copy the information correctly.
Included in with the CDs, and specifically marked as a book in PDF format on a DVD disc, was Mike's anthology "I Just Wanted to Be a Songwriter, a Mike Johnson Music Anthology." Well, they listed it as a spoken word CD, or something like that. Can't begin to tell you what a hassle it was trying to get them to remove that as a music CD. One of the other one's is Mike's 2-disc yodeling CD which was listed as "Country Music's No.1 Black Yodeler." Also listed the same on your site, which told me where you got the information. The correct title for RCD22 is "Mike Johnson Yodeling 40 Years."
We just released our 49th and 50th CDs on 15 November 2014 featuring our talented young instrumentalist, 19-year old James Adelsberger on #49 and Mike on #50. A complete discography with production details for all 50 of our releases is listed on the Roughshod Records CD Catalog page, below the CD covers. Feel free to use that information. We have been so frustrated with a number of sites that list our stuff and when you click the "Mike Johnson" link, a lot of them take you to that "Rock & Roll Mike Johnson" with photos of him and his biography!
Again, thank you for that very impressive page. We hope you had a Merry Christmas and that the New Year will be a safe and fruitful one.

Objet : great site !

Hi GG !

Je constate que mon seul est unique single est répertorié ici (Billy Barley & The Blues Suede Shoes) et mon sentiment peut être résumé par un titre de Gégene : 'I'm back and i'm proud' !

Objet : Correction to my discography

Good Morning (Bon Jour)

Thanks for posting my discography on your Website.
One correction. I did not write "Oney" for Johnny Cash. It may have been written by Jerry Chesnut. I did write "Oklahoma Morning," which Charley Pride recorded.

Best Regards,

Jim Chesnut
