Hey Rocky!

My grandfather is Jackie Osborne that played sometimes with Bud Mesner and the Skyline Boys. He passed when I was 2 so I didn’t have the chance to know him. Just what I’m told and the photos that I have and have come across. The photo below is of my grandfather and grandmother with my dad, aunt, and uncle. Anyway if you know of anyone that could get in contact with me that has anything on my grandfather, I’d appreciate it.

I'm getting in touch to thank you for putting together your collection of music resources. As the activities director for the Harrison Park Community Center here in Illinois, I've been working on our upcoming events calendar. The week of November 27th we will be hosting a special Career Fair that's open to the public. We held this event last fall and it was a great turn out -- especially with the local high schools! I have some student volunteers assisting me with putting together reference material for the different career fields and industries that will be represented at the fair. We have a local sound recording studio coming, so we wanted to have some information for those interested in the music industry. You shared some wonderful websites for rock and country musicians - we really appreciate the help! Sarah was very excited to share it with you! (She plans on going to college for music production, so this project means a lot to her!) It covers everything from soup to nuts for musicians to promote their music and pursue a career in the music industry! I saw your post on the career of ‘The Carter Sisters and Mother Maybelle’ at https://www.rocky-52.net/chanteursc/carter_sisters.htm

I looked through all your information and I thought maybe you could add another album to your compilation on them:

“The Carter Family – Together Again”, on Sphere Records, released in 2006.
This album is on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvU7bIhdG1c

Also, could you delete the photo you have of them? It is terribly distorted and doesn’t resemble them. I am attaching a good copy of that same photo for you to use. I will also attach some photos from later in their career that you can post.

For the album “Together Again”, he was referenced but in 1991.
