Chanteur Country US né à Briar Creek (Kentucky), le 3 Février 1936, Dave Rich grava ses premières faces pour ACME avant de rejoindre RCA à l'age de 19 ans. Il travaillait comme Disc-Jockey tout en ayant son propre show tous les samedi soirs. Il s'essaiera au Rockabilly en 1957 avec "Rosie Let's Get Cozy". En 1962, il rejoindra le label Mercury puis Decca et Momument avant de devenir prêcheur et de n'enregistrer que du Gospel.
