Chanteur Rockabily US né James Walton Fautheree, le 11 Avril 1934, à Smackover (Arkansas). Il débutera sa carière discographique sous le nom de Jimmy pour le label Capitol de 1951 à 1953. En 1954, il obtient un contrat avec le label Chess sous le nom de Jimmy and Johnny avec son ami Country Johnny Mathis. Malgré un hit, le duo se séparera rapidement et, après une tentative de duo de Jimmy Lee avec Wayne Walker, le contrat ne sera pas renouvellé. En 1955, Jimmy Lee décide de continuer à tourner sous le nom de Jimmy and Johnny. Pour ce faire, et pendant presque deux ans, son frère Lynn deviendra Johnny. Ils enregistrerons pour Decca grâce à Webb Pierce et accompagneront durant une année Faron Young en tournées. Après le départ de Lynn, le duo original se reformera pour quelques sessions pour Decca, D, Vin et Republic Records. Jimmy Lee a aussi enregistré pour Vin Records sous le nom de Johnny Angel et pour Paula, Lodema, Little Ritchie & Town House Records sous le nom de Jimmy Fautheree. Il est décédé le 29 Juin 2004. US Rockabily singer born James Walton Fautheree, April 11, 1934, in Smackover (Arkansas). It will begin its discographic carière under the name of Jimmy for the Capitol label from 1951 to 1953. In 1954, it obtains a contract with the Chess label under the name of Jimmy and Johnny with his friend Country Johnny Mathis. In spite of a hit, the duo will separate quickly and, after an attempt at duo of Jimmy Lee with Wayne Walker, the contract will not be renouvellé. In 1955, Jimmy Lee decides to continue to turn under the name of Jimmy and Johnny. With this intention, and during almost two years, his Lynn brother will become Johnny. They will record for Decca thanks to Webb Pierce and will accompany during one year Faron Young in tour. After the departure of Lynn, the original duo will be reformed for some sessions for Decca, D, Vin and Republic Records. Jimmy Lee also recorded for Vin Records under the name of Johnny Angel and Paula, Lodema, Little Ritchie & Town House Records under the name of Jimmy Fautheree. He is deceased on June 29, 2004.
