Born in Austin, Texas, USA. The country singer Judy Lindsey attended North Texas State University and then took a job at the Bauder Fashion College where she taught modelling and psychology. She had her own modelling career and took part in a long-running campaign for Dodge cars. She wanted to be a singer and when she met Johnny Carroll in 1977, she encouraged Carroll to start performing again; they formed the Judy And Johnny Band, which had a residency at the Hilton Hotel in Fort Worth. By 1983, Lindsey had added Wanda Jackson’s rock ‘n’ roll hits to her repertoire, which proved popular with audiences. She released ‘Fujiyama Mama’ as a single and as time went on, she recorded more and more on her own. She had a minor hit in 1989 with ‘Wrong Train’.
