Groupe Rock
‘n’ Roll finlandais, fondé en 1962 à Helsinki par les frères Eero Raittinen et
Jussi Raittinen. La première formation était composée d'Eero Raittinen
(batterie), Jussi Raittinen (guitare rythmique), Reijo Bergström (guitare solo),
Kari Bergström (basse). Kari Bergström fut rapidement remplacé par Jorma
Kalenius. Les frères Raittinen quittèrent The Esquires à l'automne 1963 et
furent remplacés par Timo Jämsen (chant, guitare) et Peter Snell (batterie).
The Esquires ont enregistré quelques succès et ont joué dans plusieurs disques à
succès en tant que groupe de soutien. Ils se séparèrent à la fin des années
1960.
Ils se reformèrent à la fin des années 1990 et se produisent toujours lors des
concerts Back To The Sixties.
Finnish Rock

guitar), Reijo Bergström (solo guitar), Kari Bergström (bass). Kari Bergström
was soon replaced by Jorma Kalenius. Brothers Raittinen left The Esquires in the
autumn 1963 and they were replaced by Timo Jämsen (vocals, guitar) and Peter
Snell (drums).
The Esquires scored some hits and played in several hit records as backing band.
They split up in the late 1960s.
They got back together in the late 1990's and are performing still in Back To
The Sixties concerts.
