Trio US originaire de New Milford (New Jersey) qui comprenait les soeurs Marge, Bea et Geri Fontane. Elles débutèrent en 1944 et enregistrent chez RCA en 1948. Les Fontane Sisters, spécialistes de la Cover s'imposèrent en 1954 chez Dot Records et elles contribuèrent à faire accepter le Rock 'n' Roll noir auprès du public blanc. Après un dernier hit en 1958, elles furent très injustement oubliées malgré un répertoire de qualité qui fait partie des archives du Rock 'n' Roll.
