Chanteur Rockabilly US né le 23 Novembre 1938 à Mariana (Arkansas). Jimmy Evans a formé son premier groupe alors qu'il était encore au collège puis passe régulièrement sur la station radio KXJK de Forest City (Arkansas). En 1954, Jimmy est auditionné par Sam Phillips, le directeur de la Sun Records de Memphis (Tennessee). Mais c'est le label Clearmont Records, de Memphis aussi, dirigé par Marshall E.Ellis, que sortira son premier single en 1962. Il passera ensuite sur Caveman, Shimmy, Rebel Ace (68) et Twin Records (84). Il fut aussi bassiste de Conway Twitty et de Ronnie Hawkins. Jimmy Evans est décédé le 3 Août 2011.
