Ils ont débuté leur carrière au début des années cinquante à Richmont (Virginie). En 1953, il enregistre un single pour Arcade Records de Philadelphie (Pennsylvanie) qui comprenait "Rock Around The Clock", repris l'année suivante par Bill Haley qui en fera le plus grand succès de tous les temps.
